MY PHOTOGRAPHY

My Photography

Photography is a world of perceptions, a world in which we capture not what our eyes perceive but what our souls read from whats around us. Therefore, the image becomes a reflection of the real I AM.

Born in Bogota-Colombia, from a line of artists (mother and grandmother painters, grandfather a poet and uncle a designer), I learned very young how to find the beauty and flavors of the essence of the world around me. In a warm home full of color, music and dance, my imagination flowed and my artist side started to emerge through poems and stories about life itself and objects with life.

Although very good with words, writing wasn't enough for me. I found through photography, the possibility to show the hidden beauty. Influenced by Henri Cartier-Bressons technique and thoughts, I started to capture with my camera different types of beauty depending on what situations, people, nature or things would make me feel.

If my heart starts jumping trying to move my whole body with it, if I feel excited because of what something or someone transmits to me, I'll take my camera and start shooting.
